About Us

Laura Fries

Laura founded LF Fries Group, Inc with the vision of synthesizing her experience in recruiting with the needs of businesses in the twenty-first century. She oversees all functions including the client service and candidate development efforts. In addition, she is actively involved in several business and professional organizations and institutions, frequently contributing as a sponsor, speaker or moderator.

Laura graduated from the University of Minnesota with undergraduate degrees in Business Administration – Finance and French. Initially she was employed by Fluor Daniels, a S&P 500 engineering firm, as an auditor later advancing to Eastern Region Finance and Reporting Manager. When Laura returned to Minneapolis from Boston, she began her recruiting career with a large international recruiting firm. Various positions held over 15 years included: Senior Finance and Accounting Recruiting Manager and Division Director. Laura was recognized on several occasions internationally for the success of her client service efforts. Laura received her MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

While working out a non-compete contract at a Fortune 25 corporation in an Executive Recruiter role focused on executive roles in human resources, law, and marketing, Laura determined that there was a need in the recruiting industry. She saw the need for search firms that were nimble enough to respond to the high caliber talent demands of today’s business community and yet caring enough to attract that talent by displaying a genuine interest in the candidate’s career development desires. As a response to that niche, LF Fries Group, Inc. was born
